The seller gets your whole offer
Our fee is on top of your offer, never taken out of it. If you offer $400, you pay the seller $400 at pickup and the seller keeps all of it. After a sale we ask the seller, on their page and usually by text as well, whether they got the full amount. A seller who answers no on their page reaches our team the same minute.
How much it is
Your fee terms are shown at the top of your Cars for sale page. Once you have an offer on a car, its page shows the fee on that offer, and a car you won shows its fee on its page too. Some accounts have terms of their own, so the terms on your page are the ones that apply to you.
When it is charged
The moment the car is marked picked up, whoever marks it. You can mark it with Mark picked up. Your driver can mark it from their job page on the pickup day or the day after. The seller can tell us it was picked up once the pickup time has started, or three days after they picked you if no time was booked. Our team can mark it too. If nobody reports a problem, it is also marked picked up on its own a few days after the pickup date. If the seller says the car was not picked up, it is not marked picked up on its own, and nothing is charged until it is.
If your card is declined
The fee stays on your account as owed and we let you know. Pay it with the Pay button on your Payment card page. You can replace your card there too, but a new card is not charged for a fee that is already owed.
If the card processor does not answer when we charge your card, we try the same charge again until we know whether it went through. After 23 hours with no answer, we treat it as declined.
