How the ranking works
Buyers who make offers through BeaterBoss come first in their city, because you can get their price here without a phone call. After them, we rank buyers by a review-weighted score. A business with only a few reviews is pulled toward the average, so a 5.0 from 3 reviews can't beat a 4.8 from 400.
Most buyers we list have at least 10 Google reviews. A few have fewer, and we list them because what their customers wrote shows them buying cars. A buyer that signs up to make offers here without a listing of ours gets a page of its own, which says so and shows no Google rating.
Ratings come from Google and are shown with their review count and the label "Google rating". The summaries are our own words, written from what reviewers mention. We never copy review text.
As cars are sold through BeaterBoss, we will also weigh whether buyers kept the price they offered and how quickly they responded.
Who pays what
Sellers never pay anything. Buyers who make offers here keep a card on file and pay us a fee only when a seller picks them and the car is picked up, and making offers here is what puts them first in their city. No business can pay to have another buyer removed, to change its rating, or to change what we write about it.
