What Todd has had a hand in as the founder of Junk Car Medics

From the founder

Hi, I'm Todd Bialaszewski

I'm the founder of Junk Car Medics, and over the years I've had a hand in more than 2 million junk car offers and more than 400,000 sales. That is a lot of cars, and a lot of people trying to sell them.

Their stories were close to the same. A car stops running, or a truck sits in the driveway for three winters, and the owner just wants it gone for a fair price. So they call a yard, read off the year and the mileage, and get a number. Then they call the next yard and do it all again. Some get one price on the phone and a lower one when the tow truck pulls up.

We wanted a better way. You describe the car once, and the buyers come to you. They compete out in the open, on price and on pickup time, and you can see every offer. They are held to what they offer. And the whole thing is quick enough, and honestly fun enough, that getting rid of an old beater feels like a win instead of a chore.

That is BeaterBoss. I hope you get a great offer on your car.

Why it plays like a game

Because from your side, that is what it should feel like. You list the car and the buyers near you start competing for it. Offers come in, and buyers can raise them to climb the board. A truck that can be there this afternoon can take the Fastest spot. When one offer makes the top three for cash and for speed, it is marked Best of both. You hold the controller the whole time, and nobody gets your car until you pick them.

TopThe biggest offer, in the big card at the top of your page.
FastestThe buyer who can pick up soonest, right under it.
BOTHBest of bothAn offer among the three biggest and the three soonest at once.

The house rules

  1. An offer can only go up

A buyer can raise an offer but never lower it, and the pickup time they promise can only move sooner. What you see is what they are held to.

  2. You get the whole offer

Sellers never pay us a cent. The buyer pays our fee on top of their offer, so nothing comes out of yours.

  3. Your number stays yours

Buyers never get your phone number or email. They message you through your page, and your street address goes only to the driver, on pickup day.

  4. Only real sellers write reviews

A review on a buyer's page comes from someone who sold that buyer a car here, one review per car.

Every buyer listed here was screened first. See how we screen and rank them, or read how selling works step by step.
